Meet the Team

With over 15 years in the superyacht industry, I've progressed from Deckhand to Bosun, 1st Officer, and Captain. For the last three years I have been captaining superyachts, building on my earlier roles aboard vessels ranging from 37m to 140m.

I've managed crews, led navigational watches across the Atlantic and Mediterranean, overseen major refits, paint jobs, and maintenance programs, and delivered high-end service to owners and charter guests in the Bahamas, Caribbean, and Europe. Notable yachts I've worked on include Ocean Victory, Azteca, She's a 10, MissShuga, and Andiamo.

Born in England and now based in Jacksonville, Florida, my extensive hands-on experience gives me real-world insight into what truly matters when buying or selling a yacht—from construction quality and maintenance history to how vessels actually perform at sea and in daily operation.

I'm passionate about connecting serious buyers and sellers with the right opportunities because I love the industry and want people to end up with yachts they'll truly enjoy and be able to maintain successfully. My goal is to make the process smoother and more transparent, backed by practical superyacht experience rather than just sales talk.

My name is Gavin Brodene, and I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Aviation has been a lifelong passion of mine, and I earned my Private Pilot License while still in high school. Since then, I have continued to immerse myself in the aviation industry through my education, flight training, and involvement in the aviation community.

My long-term goal is to serve as a pilot in the United States Air Force, and I have developed a deep appreciation for the opportunities that general aviation provides to pilots, families, and businesses. Through Hangar & Harbor, my mission is to help connect prospective aircraft buyers and sellers with trusted financing resources, making aircraft ownership and transactions more accessible and straightforward.

I also see this venture as an opportunity to use my aviation knowledge and experiences to help others while continuing to deepen my own understanding of the aviation industry. By building relationships within the general aviation community and learning from industry professionals, I hope to provide value to clients while furthering my own growth in the field.

While I am not a lender, broker, or financial advisor, I am committed to providing responsive service, honest communication, and valuable connections within the aviation community.
